Open and on equal terms
Here we speak plainly: about the situation, digital topics and the cohesion of the industry. No sales pressure, just operator to operator.
Industry meet-up since 2020
Every Tuesday at 10 a.m., coach operators meet for a digital exchange – open, honest and about the topics that really matter to you. Plus regular in-person meetings.
The idea
Talking openly and freely about the topics that genuinely matter to you as an operator – that idea has been with us for a long time. A period when the industry stood still accelerated it: what began as a spontaneous video chat is today a fixed date in the industry's calendar.
The roughly 20 participants at the first call turned into a reliable group. By now, Bustalk LIVE also takes place in person again – the personal exchange has stayed.
Timeline
From the first call in April 2020 to a fixed industry meet-up – the key milestones.
7 April 2020
At a time when the industry had all but ground to a halt, we called for a digital get-together via video chat on Webex. Around 20 coach operators joined the very first session.
7 May 2020
Out of the exchange came the first coach-only demonstration in Germany: around 130 coaches rolled through Hamburg. The hashtag #busretten and busretten.de grew out of it.
Since 2020
The group grew larger and Tuesday morning became a fixed date. Coach tourism professionals meet week after week for an open exchange.
July 2020
The first in-person Bustalk LIVE in Hamburg – a successful start. Since then, meeting face to face has complemented the digital format.

What makes Bustalk special
Here we speak plainly: about the situation, digital topics and the cohesion of the industry. No sales pressure, just operator to operator.
The first coach demo, #busretten, the campaign site busretten.de – all of it grew out of the conversations at the get-together.
The WhatsApp group with more than 250 members keeps the circle together: share content, discuss quickly, stay in touch.
Much of the content on our campaign site www.busretten.de and the hashtag #busretten grew out of this exchange.
