What it was about
A 2,000-person event, digitally steered
When Sopra Steria, one of Europe’s market leaders in digital transformation, invited around 2,000 employees and guests to its annual consultants' meeting in Hamburg in April 2019, Hanse Mondial developed the complete mobility concept and coordinated the transfer logistics of 80 coaches between a total of 25 pick-up and drop-off points in a single day.
On top of our proven know-how in concept, organisation and delivery came a brand-new tool: the event day was also the premiere of our self-developed Hanse Mondial event app, with real-time tracking and seamless reporting.

What was tricky, and how we solved it
An event of this size in just one day leaves no room for loose ends. For every hurdle there was a clear plan. Here both sit right next to each other.

2,000 employees and guests had to be moved between 25 pick-up and drop-off points in a single day.

All guests were to reach the main event on time and relaxed, from 22 hotels and the German headquarters.
Our solution45 coaches collected the guests and brought them to the Mehr! Theater. At each pick-up point, a dedicated hostess kept everything running smoothly.

Midway through the evening a venue change was due for all 2,000 participants, without any waiting or congestion.
Our solutionIn a genuine feat by everyone involved, all 2,000 guests were moved from the Mehr! Theater to Schuppen 52 in just 45 minutes.

After dinner, no one wanted to wait long for a good night’s rest or travel unnecessarily far across the city.
Our solutionAn hourly shuttle service on five well-thought-out hotel routes with 29 coaches brought everyone back in comfort.
